Japanese Honey Bees and Honey

Honey has been a valuable food prized by Japanese people since ancient times.

It was even published in Nihon Shoki and Continuing Nihon Shoki.

In particular, Japanese honey bees (Japanese bees) have high sugar content and purity, but because they are small bees, their flight distance is narrow at about 2 km, and they collect nectar from various flowers. It is commonly referred to as "Hundred flower nectar" and is a valuable item.

Western bees, on the other hand, have a larger body, fly a distance of about 3 km and collect large amounts of nectar from the same flowers.

Acacia, lavender, tochi and horse chestnut are famous.

I learned in a magazine that they were beekeeping on the roof of the Paris Opera.

In July 2007, I happened to meet the leader of the Ginza Honey Bee Project and received guidance.

For about 15 years since then, I have been sticking only to Japanese honey bees, pursuing the honey of the true Japanese honey bee, and working hard to create an environment where Japanese honey bees can live comfortably through trial and error every day.
